Views & Modes

Cothon offers multiple ways to view your bid analysis results, each optimized for different workflows. Switch between views to find what works best for your task.

Available Views

List View

The default view showing requirements as a vertical list:

  • Best for: Quick scanning and review
  • Features: Expandable cards, inline editing, drag-to-reorder
  • Grouping: By category, priority, or compliance status

Tip

Use List View for initial review and when you need to see requirement details at a glance.

Grid View

Requirements displayed as cards in a grid layout:

  • Best for: Visual overview and status tracking
  • Features: Color-coded status, compact display, bulk selection
  • Grouping: Kanban-style columns by status

Grid View is ideal for tracking progress through requirements, similar to a Kanban board.

Table View

Spreadsheet-style view with sortable columns:

  • Best for: Detailed analysis and data export
  • Features: Sortable columns, filtering, column customization
  • Columns: Requirement, Category, Priority, Status, Confidence, Notes

Note

Table View supports keyboard navigation. Use arrow keys to move between cells and Enter to edit.

Switching Views

Change views using the view selector in the toolbar:

  1. Click the view icons in the top-right of the analysis panel
  2. Or use keyboard shortcuts:
    • Cmd/Ctrl + 1 - List View
    • Cmd/Ctrl + 2 - Grid View
    • Cmd/Ctrl + 3 - Table View

Your view preference is saved per analysis.

Filtering Requirements

All views support filtering to focus on specific requirements:

Filter Options

FilterDescription
CategoryTechnical, Compliance, Experience, etc.
PriorityMandatory, Evaluated, Informational
StatusFully Meets, Partially Meets, Cannot Meet, Needs Review
ConfidenceHigh, Medium, Low

Combining Filters

Filters combine with AND logic. For example:

  • Category = "Technical" AND Status = "Cannot Meet"
  • Shows only technical requirements you can't currently meet

Saving Filter Sets

Save frequently used filter combinations:

  1. Set your desired filters
  2. Click Save Filter Set
  3. Name your filter (e.g., "Compliance Gaps")
  4. Access saved filters from the dropdown

Sorting Options

Sort requirements by:

  • Original Order - As they appear in the document
  • Category - Grouped by requirement type
  • Priority - Mandatory first, then evaluated
  • Status - By compliance status
  • Confidence - By AI confidence score

Document Side-by-Side View

View the original document alongside extracted requirements:

Tip

Split View is essential for verifying AI extractions and understanding requirement context.

Compliance Matrix View

Generate a formal compliance matrix:

  1. Click Export > Compliance Matrix
  2. Choose format (Excel or PDF)
  3. Select columns to include
  4. Add your compliance responses

The matrix follows standard government proposal formats.
