Branding and Cover Page

Branding controls how exported proposals look to the buyer: your logo, colours and contact details on the cover page, plus the header and footer on every page. You set it once for your organization.

Find it under Settings › Proposal Templates › Document branding (below the template list; on a phone, the Branding tab).

How to set up branding

How to use your own Word cover page

You can replace the built-in cover with a cover page you designed in Word. Cothon fills in the placeholders for each proposal and keeps everything else (fonts, images, layout) exactly as you made it.

  1. Under Cover page, click Download sample.
  2. Restyle the sample in Word. Keep the placeholders you want.
  3. Click Upload Word cover and pick your .docx file (up to 10 MB).
  4. Cothon lists the placeholders it found. Anything it does not recognise is left as typed.

Type placeholders anywhere in the cover, including tables and text boxes:

PlaceholderFilled with
{{rfp_title}}Solicitation title
{{proposal_title}}Proposal title
{{buyer_name}}Buyer organization
{{solicitation_number}}Solicitation number
{{closing_date}}Closing date
{{submission_date}}Submission date
{{company_name}}Company name
{{company_address}}Company address
{{company_phone}}Company phone
{{company_email}}Company email
{{company_website}}Company website
{{signatory_name}}Signatory name
{{signatory_title}}Signatory title

To go back to the built-in cover, click Remove.

Note

If your Word cover cannot be applied to an export, Cothon uses the built-in cover for that file and tells you.

Keep your cover in SharePoint

Instead of uploading, an owner or admin can click Link from SharePoint. Cothon then picks up changes to the Word file automatically. See SharePoint Sync.
