Contract Search
Search awarded contracts with filters, and inspect individual contracts, amendments, and categories
Contract Search
The Contracts tab lets you search the full contract award database directly — the fastest way to answer "what has actually been bought, from whom, and for how much?"
Searching
Type keywords into the search bar to match contract titles and descriptions. The filter panel narrows results further:
- Agency — the buying organization (with autocomplete suggestions)
- Category — the procurement category (with autocomplete suggestions)
- UNSPSC / GSIN code — industry classification codes
- Value range — minimum and maximum contract value
- Date range — award date from/to
Results are paginated and sortable by title, buying entity, contract value, or award date. The search respects the workspace's jurisdiction toggle, so federal and Québec searches run against their own data.
Result rows
Each contract shows its title, vendor(s), agency, value, award date, category, and industry sector, plus a link to the original source notice. Where the data includes them, you also see the region, procurement method, and lot title.
On Québec contracts, SEAO's bidder-level data appears inline: every bidder with their bid amount, the winner, each bidder's rank, and the spread relative to the winning bid.
Note
Vendor names in results are clickable — they open the vendor's full profile page.
Contract detail pages
Opening a contract leads to its detail page at /analytics/contracts/<contract-number>, which shows:
- The contract's value, buyer, vendor, dates, and description
- Amendment history — every recorded amendment, with a count and the cumulative value over time
- A timeline chart of how the contract's value evolved through amendments
Amendment history is especially useful for sizing a re-bid: the cumulative value of an amended contract is often a better estimate of the real budget than the original award amount.
Category deep dives
Category names link to category pages at /analytics/categories/<code>, a profile of one UNSPSC category:
- Total contracts, market size, average deal size, and active vendors
- Market trend charts over time
- A federal/Québec source switch
- A find open tenders shortcut that jumps to live opportunities in the category
Tip
For exploratory questions ("largest contracts this year", "compare two vendors"), the Analytics Explorer chat can be quicker; use Contract Search when you need precise filters, sorting, and source links.
