Buyers

The Buyers tab is a directory of the government organizations that actually award contracts — federal departments and Ontario, BC, and Québec public buyers. Use it to find who buys what you sell, how much they spend, and whether their spending is growing.

The buyers directory

Each buyer appears as a card showing:

• Name, acronym, and a jurisdiction badge
• Spend with year-over-year change and a spending sparkline
• Number of vendors the buyer works with
• The buyer's top category of spend
• A count of the buyer's currently open opportunities

Controls at the top let you:

• Search by buyer name or acronym
• Filter by jurisdiction (federal, Ontario, BC, Québec)
• Sort by spend, open opportunities, or name

Click any card to open the buyer's full agency profile page, which is covered in detail in the Agencies section — spending breakdowns, top vendors, categories, and open opportunities for that buyer.

My-markets lens

If you have chosen focus markets and the My markets scope is on, a top buyers card appears above the directory: the departments spending the most in your focus UNSPSC families over the trailing 12 months. That card is computed from UNSPSC-coded awards only, and says so.

How bidders use it

• Target selection — sort your jurisdiction by spend and shortlist the buyers with sustained budgets in your category.
• Growth signals — the YoY change and sparkline show whether a buyer's spend is expanding or contracting.
• Live demand — the open-opportunities count links buyer research directly to today's pipeline.
