Google Integration

The Google integration links your Google account to your Cothon profile and imports your display name and profile photo. That's its entire scope — it keeps your Cothon identity consistent with the rest of your workspace.

What it does

• Imports your Google display name and avatar into your Cothon profile
• Lets you choose Google as the source of your effective profile picture and title in Settings → Profile
• Can be re-synced at any time to pick up changes to your Google profile

The OAuth connection requests only basic identity scopes (openid, email, profile). Cothon receives no access to your email messages, calendar, files, or any other Google data.

Connecting

1. Go to Settings → Integrations (or Settings → Profile) and find Google.
2. Click Connect and sign in with your Google account.
3. Approve the basic profile permissions. Your name and photo are imported immediately.

Sign in with Google

Logging in to Cothon with your Google account ("Sign in with Google" on the login screen) is a separate feature handled by Cothon's authentication system. It works whether or not you connect the profile integration described here. See Authentication.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect next to Google in your settings. The stored connection is removed. Your profile keeps its current name and photo until you change them or sync from another source (Slack or Teams).
