Proposal Templates
Proposal Templates in Settings holds your company's standard proposal outline and reusable text. When Cothon drafts a proposal, it keeps your fixed text and content blocks word for word and writes only the parts you mark for AI.
What is in this section
| Area | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Templates | Your proposal outlines. With no template, proposals use the built-in standard outline. |
| Content blocks | Reusable text such as policies, certifications, bios and standard terms. Insert them into any template. |
| Branding | How exported Word and PDF proposals look: your logo, colours, cover page contact block, header and footer. |
On a phone, these three areas appear as tabs.
How to start a template
- Open Settings and choose Proposal Templates.
- Click New template to start from the standard outline, or Import document to upload a past proposal (.docx or .pdf).
- If you imported a file, review the sections Cothon suggests. It marks which parts stay fixed and which the AI should write.
- Save the template.
Note
If the solicitation asks for a section your template does not have, Cothon adds it to the draft for you.
