Notifications

Configure email, push, and in-app notifications, plus quiet hours

Notifications

Control how and when Cothon notifies you. Notifications are grouped into three channels — email, push, and in-app — plus a schedule that governs when they are delivered.

Email Notifications

Toggle each type of email on or off:

  • Project updates
  • Task assignments
  • Mentions
  • Weekly digest
  • Security alerts

A send test action lets you verify email notifications reach your inbox.

Push Notifications

Push notifications appear from your browser, even when Cothon is in a background tab.

Note

Push notifications require browser permission. The panel shows your current permission status and prompts you to grant it if needed.

Once permission is granted, toggle:

  • Real-time updates
  • Mentions
  • Task deadlines

A send test action lets you confirm push notifications are working on this browser.

In-App Notifications

These appear inside Cothon while you work:

  • Project activity
  • Collaborator updates
  • AI suggestions

Notification Schedule

Control when notifications reach you:

  • Quiet hours — enable and set a start and end time; notifications are held during this window
  • Weekend notifications — choose whether to receive notifications on weekends
  • Do not disturb — pause notifications entirely

Tip

Set quiet hours around your evenings and keep security alerts enabled — they are the one category worth being interrupted for.
