UNSPSC & GSIN code finder

Buyers tag every tender with a commodity code, and portals use those codes to send you alerts. Find the codes for what you sell, in English or French, and see which categories actually get tendered.

21,206 UNSPSC codes · 4,909 GSIN codes · tender counts as of 2026-09-24

Type at least 2 characters. Search works in English and French, and by code.

How to use these codes

UNSPSC is the current standard. CanadaBuys moved federal notices from GSIN to UNSPSC. Most provincial portals and SEAO also classify with UNSPSC or map to it. Use UNSPSC codes for your supplier profiles and alerts.

GSIN is legacy, but still useful. Older federal awards, standing offers and supply arrangements carry GSIN codes. Search a GSIN here to find its published UNSPSC equivalent.

Register at the family or class level. Buyers are inconsistent about which 8-digit commodity they pick. Alerts on the 4-digit family or 6-digit class catch notices a single commodity code would miss.

Browse UNSPSC by family
